2010

I have been slacking on posting the latest and since I am now taking 17 credits at UVU I have been super busy. It seems when I do have free time soak up as much family time as I can to make up for the last 6 months of being in Florida. So instead of doing a bunch of posts to catch up I will just do a 2010 in review post. Then I will do my best to get you caught up to the here and now.

2010 was a fabulous year for us. There were good times and bad, but mostly good. And luckily we only take pictures of the good times.
We started off the year by being legally made husband and wife and celebrated on New Years Eve. It was the perfect way to bring in the new year. In January we headed out on our honey moon to Maui.
We moved into our first apartment in Sandy. David went to school at BYU Salt Lake while I worked at Salt Lake Running Co. In February we became aunt and uncle for the third time when Samuel Sheneman was born.
In March we headed down to Moab to run the annual half marathon. After recovering from that David took me up to Snowbird resort to teach me how to snowboard for real.
In April I made the decision to cut off 15 1/2 inches of my hair and donate it to locks of love. We went down to St. George to do some climbing, hiking, etc.

In May I learned to bake a mile high apple pie with my Mom. Davie's Dad flew his remote control airplane for the first time (after it crashed a few years ago) and we were happy to witness it.

In June my dear friend Ruth was married and we attended her beautiful ceremony and reception. We added a new addition to our family when we adopted Lucy Lou, our boxer pup.

We took a trip with Davie's parents to St. George and Las Vegas to see friends and family. We went to the St. George temple for the first time. Both of my Grandparents on my Mom's side passed away this year. Both of the funeral service's were lovely. They are missed very much.

At the end of June we moved to Florida for a 6 month internship that David had with Citi. So we packed up and drove 2,500 miles across the U.S.  While there I celebrated my 24th birthday by eating crab and walking on Bayshore Blvd.

While in Florida we learned how to be beach people, went to the Orlando Temple often, and I took up crocheting.

We went to Sarasota Florida and went to the Ringling Bros. Museum and the Mote Aquarium.

In September David celebrated his 24th birthday and I made him his favorite meal, french toast. I flew up to Cleveland OH to see my brother and sister in law and their kids. We saw church historic sites, went to incredible water parks and amusement parks.

Also in September Davie's parents, my parents and us went on a cruise to Nassau Bahamas. And went to Disney World in Orlando for free!

Lucy got a new bed, new toys and got into mischief. For Halloween David and I dressed up as each other and Lucy was a super spooky skeleton.

In November we drove to Cleveland to spend Thanksgiving with David and Cicely. There were no pictures taken because we both were terribly sick the entire time. On the drive home Lucy did enjoy the leaves though.

In December we started packing up for our move back to Utah! After making the 2,500+ mile trek home (more on that to come) we had lots to do to get ready for the upcoming year. We had presents to buy and grandparents to visit and of course naps with Lucy to be had.

There were celebrations to be had all around. My Dad celebrated his 65th birthday! We celebrated our 1st year of marriage (woo woo, and more on that to come later as well).

2010 was a stupendous year. It was full of unexpected happenings that were exciting, scary and so fun. This year was especially grand because I found my David. If the first year of marriage is this good I can only imagine what is to come! Bring it on 2011!
