concrete jungle

A little while ago we got word that David may have the opportunity to do an internship in the big city. You know which one. We got super excited. Then we didn't hear anything for awhile. No so excited. But then, last week we found out he got it! Which means, drum roll please, we are moving to New York! Well, ok moving is a bit of an exaggeration. We are going for a few months. Neither of us have ever been to the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. So we are both a little nervous and excited. If any of you have been there and you know just the place to eat or just the thing to see then please tell me! I am secretly hoping I run into Nat the fat rat, and that we will become kindred spirits, because let's be honest she is one of the funniest and most stylish New Yorker I know. Granted I don't know many and I don't even really know her, but still she is hilarious. The above pictures were taken by her.

The one where we had pillow talk

The other day my close friends got together while Steph, who lives in DC was in town for Easter. We went to Eggs in the City for brunch. Then spent the rest of the afternoon with all four of us talking in Sarah's guest bed. Most of the chatter consisted of pregnancy talk since they are all pregnant! It was so fun to have us all together again. I have the best friends ever. Sorry if you thought you did. I'm sure yours are great, just not as great as mine. I'm pretty biased though...

the graduate

David officially graduated from Brigham Young University last weekend. He received a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics. It was no easy task, but as always he rocked it. David could not be happier to be done with school. I am pretty happy about it too. Let the beard growing begin! oh and not to mention real life. You know the kind with a job.

p.s. please ignore me being half asleep in the pictures. I was sick, but no way was I going to miss this.

I bowled a 71

David and I went bowling a little while back. I had not been bowling since we threw a bachelorette party for one of my best friends Steph, who got married in May of '09. I am sure I was awful at bowling then and sadly I think I have only become worse. I bowled a 71. seventy-one people. David so patiently tried to teach me how to throw the ball and every time I would fail. Although thanks to dumb luck I did get one strike. Thanks dumb luck, you're always nice to have around at times like these.
