the graduate
David officially graduated from Brigham Young University last weekend. He received a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics. It was no easy task, but as always he rocked it. David could not be happier to be done with school. I am pretty happy about it too. Let the beard growing begin! oh and not to mention real life. You know the kind with a job.
p.s. please ignore me being half asleep in the pictures. I was sick, but no way was I going to miss this.

I bowled a 71
David and I went bowling a little while back. I had not been bowling since we threw a bachelorette party for one of my best friends Steph, who got married in May of '09. I am sure I was awful at bowling then and sadly I think I have only become worse. I bowled a 71. seventy-one people. David so patiently tried to teach me how to throw the ball and every time I would fail. Although thanks to dumb luck I did get one strike. Thanks dumb luck, you're always nice to have around at times like these.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Oh, Valentine's Day how I love you. I always have. I was never one to hate on Valentine's Day just because I was single. Probably because if I was my mom usually got me a valentine and I loved it. I love that she made it a day where you can give love to anyone, not just your special someone. So for this valentine's day here are a few things I am loving lately.
p.s. Did you catch the VW commercial during the Super Bowl? It made watching football worth it.

snow day
Last Saturday David Lucy and I were out and about running errands and Lucy started getting antsy. So we pulled over to a high school football field to let her run and play in the snow. It reminded me so much of the scene from Love Story when they play in the snow. So I made our own little snow scene movie. Enjoy!

two years
It has been two years since I married the fine man that my hubs is. To celebrate we spent the day doing what we love. We went up Millcreek Canyon, the only one that allows dogs. We were hoping to go snow shoeing, but seeing how it is now spring, we went on a hike instead. The trail was an icy, muddy and sometimes snowy one. And even though I fell on my butt at least 8 times, it was a beautiful day. Why is that David can "ski" down the icy trail, but when I try I make weird noises, swing my arms around grasping for some branch to save me and then proceed to slide on my butt. I blame it on my lack of exposure to sports like skateboarding and snowboarding. Lucy had a grand old time running like a mad woman all over the mountains.
We finished the night by going to a hibachi grill downtown and to a movie. Since it was our anniversary we got so much free food! The sushi chef, the hibachi chef and even the owner himself wished us a happy year with complimentary food. Thanks guys! When we decided to go to a hibachi grill all I could think about was that moment when the chef makes you catch a piece of shrimp in your mouth. I've seen those people who think they can catch it and then with out fail the shrimp bounces off their forehead. I was dreading it all night and then it came. He looked at me with his spatula and the little piece of shrimp. I hesitated then tilted my head back, closed my eyes (yes I know, smart) and opened my mouth. And wouldn't you know, I caught it! First time! And not to brag but it took David 3 times to do it!
The last two years have been amazing. We have lived in Sandy, Provo, Tampa Florida and St. George! For me home is where ever David is, and I can't wait to see all the places we will call home this year!

a bearded man
This summer David grew out his beard.
I loved it and was so sad to see it go.
He also had a mustache for one day.
However I made him get rid of the little chin decor...

reason #21 why I love summer
| I had to tickle him to get him to smile. |
When summer rolls around so does the rebel motorcycle.
When David and I were dating, he wooed me on this bike.
I still love cruising around the town with my arms around him.
Especially when we cruise to church.
p.s. we do wear helmets, just not in the picture.

St. George
David and I are moving to St. George this fall! David accepted an internship position with Soltis, an investment company. We are really excited to hike, climb and run even through the fall! In fact, I think I may actually register for and run the St. George marathon while I am down there... we will see.

we statements
When David and I were dating we broke up here and there. See the deal was that I was in love with him. He was the most amazing person that I had ever dated. The only thing was that he was so different than me. He likes guns and motorcycles and I'm not really into either. I like running and cooking and he prefers not to do either. I like heart felt, good old classic movies, he likes high action shoot 'em up movies. He listens to the complete opposite type of music than me. I was so worried that we were too different to be in love. All the couples I knew would start every sentence with "we" this and "we" that. I started to wonder if we would ever have "we" statements. Then I realized why I love David so much. He allows me to still be me and he loves me all the same. I didn't need to worry about conforming to a certain person who liked certain music, movies and style. It was when I recognized this that we decided to get married. In our sealing, the sealer said to us "Don't try and change each other, just make each other happy". David has done just that. He never tries to change me, he just makes me oh so happy. And now we have plenty of "we" statements and some how they mean more now than they would have then.
we have been married one year. we are happier than ever. we can't wait to see what life holds for us.
